Here’s are Asher’s 6th birthday questions. I kind of had some lighting issues with the main camera in that it was a little blown out and I didn’t have the color profile for the 2nd camera set correctly, but I tried to correct for those issues as much as possible in post. Also, there was a pretty heavy wiggle factor to contend with to I had to really stay on top of the close-up shot and constantly be on the focus, but I think it turned out okay. Enjoy.
Here they are. Lily’s 9th Birthday Questions. It’s weird to think that this all started with her 4th birthday. She’s really grown up so much. It kind of freaks me out. Anyway, check it out.
I wasn’t sure how well she’d do with these. Turns out, she does pretty good. Well, entertaining at least.
I know this is a little late (okay, a lot late) but I just got around to editing Jacksons 7th birthday questions. Enjoy.
So, for some crazy reason that I still don’t understand, a bunch of posts from Jana’s blog (which subsequently gets re-posted to Raising Heller) were duplicated, thus sending updates to anyone that’s subscribed to Raising Heller updates. I have no idea what caused this, though I’m looking into it, but it doesn’t look like it should be a problem anymore. Sorry for blowing up your inbox.
So, we took a short day-trip up to Fort Worden in Port Townsend. It’s where they filmed An Officer and a Gentleman, if you were curious. Anyway, I got some pretty cool photos. Enjoy!
Some of you may remember the short film that I shot with a couple friends last year. Well, we have been working with another team of filmmakers to develop that short, Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, into a full length film. I’m happy to report that we’re in the final stretches of making that a reality. We’re working on completing the script and getting ready to begin shooting next month. Needless to say, it’s been a lot of work but we’re really excited about all that we’ve accomplished over the last 6+ months.
WE STILL NEED SOME HELP
Even with all that we’ve accomplished, we’re not quite there yet. We’re shooting this thing on a shoestring budget and to avoid going broke, we’re trying to raise money via a Kickstarter campaign. For those unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it’s a website that allows budding entrepreneurs to post a project and seek funding from the public. In return for their support, we’re offering them some really cool rewards that range from a digital download of the completed movie to a supporting role and much more. Please check it out (and feel free to back our project if you feel so inclined) here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/222189841/shakespeare-in-the-parking-lot
Here’s a video that we created for the Kickstarter campaign.
Here are Asher’s 5th Birthday Questions. I’d like to point out that these are posted the VERY NEXT DAY after his birthday. No more 6 month-1 year delays. I’m on the ball.
Special bigemups go to Chad Perkins for lending me his 7D. It allowed me to finally set up a shoot that I’m pretty stoked about. I used dual 7D’s (one with an 50mm and one with an 85mm), my Tascam DR100 for audio and a couple shop lights. I even used a home made dolly for the opening dolly shot. It was pretty rickety so I had to stabilize it in post which is why it’s a little fluttery. All in all, I’m happy. Enjoy.
I told you they were coming and I’m not a liar. So here they are, the 8th birthday questions as asked and recorded by me. Enjoy.
So, Lily just turned 8 on May 10th. To celebrate, I finally got around to editing her birthday questions from last year (yes, I am a horrible father. I know this). The good news, however, is that I’m almost done editing her 8th birthday questions. I’ve significantly updated my gear so it should look a lot better (the Canon 7D is a SICK camera for shooting video). Anyway, enjoy our little princess.
P.S. – Ashers 4th birthday questions are forthcoming as well, just in time for his 5th birthday on June 3rd.
