eye color: blue.
shoe size: 9-10 depending on brand.
current band i would love to be in: bright eyes. i would like to play some sort of minimal instrument, like the tambourine. thrash tambourine. and i would yell a lot. if connor would let me.
song i can put on repeat for hours: 'the longest winter' by pedro the lion from the "it's hard to find a friend" album. i broke up with a girl and had this song on repeat for three days. no joke. actually, i did that twice. with two different girls.
favorite strokes tune: "someday". why doesn't this song get any airplay? radio sucks. (geno - uh, duh, it's all over the radio now...)
medication: i took zoloft for awhile, but i don't think it did much for me. at least i didn't pay for it. (nothing illegal, don't worry.)
on sirjackson: a literary genius who wastes it worrying about the whys and what-for's of a species that can never be understood anyway (ladies).
on youngusher: same as stated above (except the literary genius part). i like to think of youngusher as an e-genius. his intelligence really seems to come out in e-mail and any other digital communication. he is smooth with the ladies but tends to choke at the last minute. (a word to the wise: if you're a woman trying to make it happen with this guy, pay special attention to your toes. i.e.- no french manicures.) if he were to die today, his legacy would undoubtedly be "bitchin' hair." unfortunate, some might say, but those very people need to be reminded that they're usually forgotten the minute they leave the room. at least he's got the hair.
on geno: geno is an interesting character. intelligence a-plenty with wit to match. i would say that he's an attractive bloke and i'm sure the chicks would agree with me. commitment issues? maybe, but i'm not so sure. personal hang-ups more likely. hair too short? too long? talks too little? too much? you get the picture. anyway, it's hard to find time for the women when you've got musical ambitions that rival your cd collection. geno's always developing a new band that will rarely come to fruition. oh, but when they do...
unrecommended date action: i had a friend who had a book called "creative dating". does anyone know how to go "ghosting"? what does that even mean?
why i wake up: i wake up because i'm compelled to by a capitalist society that says i have to "earn money" to "put food on the table" and tries to tell me that i'm "morally obligated" to "provide my family".
magazine: although my subscription ran out a little while ago and i have not yet renewed it, i would definitely say that wired is the coolest magazine i've ever had in my possession. it totally cerebral and yet highly entertaining. write-ups on super-cool technology and the practical and not-so practical application of it. if you ever see some cool gadget, you should know that it was in wired at least 3 years ago.
cds that make me drool: "i get wet" by andrew w.k. there's a lot that i could say about this album, but i'll refrain. read my write-up on mr. k.
lyric: "the boxer" by paul simon
"in the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade
and he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down
or cut him 'till he cried out in his anger and his shame
i am leaving, i am leaving, but the fighter still remains."
movies: moulin rouge, star wars (all of them, just out of principle), galipoli, goonies, indiana jones (once again, all of them), spies like us, wayne's world (not the second one, though), the breakfast club, the sound of music, ghostbusters, the matrix, the sixth sense, rushmore, amelie, 2001: a space odyssey, pee wee's big adventure, edward scissorhands, friday, this list could go on forever so i'm just going to stop now.
